Love In The Time of Quarantine: Falling In Love While Self-Isolating Together

A few weeks back we asked you to submit your stories of love, kindness, humor, joy, and generosity during this strange time of social distancing and self-isolation. We're excited to begin sharing these stories with you in the coming weeks!

Our first story is from Dana Reinert. She started dating someone new about a month prior to quarantine, and they’ve been falling in love ever since. Read her story below:

“I’ve been mostly single for two years, and met someone about four weeks before quarantine. Since we were already heavily physically involved, this time together has helped me realize just how perfect he is for me: something I would have overlooked or made excuses to ignore, in lieu of social plans or hangs with friends. Being able to spend all of our time together has made this feel extra magical... we sit around on sunny weekend mornings and listen to music and stare into each other’s eyes, because, as social extroverts, there is no other 'life' we’re missing out on. He even snuck away to bring me a bouquet of flowers when he came back from the grocery store. I find myself not wanting to start work on Mondays, because he is just so nice to do chill life stuff with. It’s week seven, and I can’t stop myself from accidentally dropping an L bomb into our conversations. I always wondered why it was taking so long to find someone, but now I’m grateful for the timing."
