We’re dreaming of far away places today... Château du Grand-Lucé ought to do the trick. This historical, luxury hotel in France's Loire Valley is an 18th-century national landmark and the sister property to Park City's chic, boutique Washington School House Hotel.

Just an hour train ride from Paris, the Château du Grand-Lucé sits on 80 private acres surrounded by perfectly manicured, classical French gardens and a medieval wall. The property features 17 opulent rooms and suites, a formal dining room in blushing shades of rose, a ballroom, and a charming circular pool located in the gardens.

Pictured above is one of the château’s suites, which has been wrapped in a Manuel Canovas Jardin du Luxembourg wallcovering, with matching drapes and a canopy crowning the king-size bed. Dreamy, indeed.
