Currently Reading: "Spare" by Prince Harry

My first book of 2023, for better or worse. Are you sick of seeing this cover yet? Here's the deal: I love Royal gossip as much as the next gal, but lately the drama from House of Windsor has been a wee much. I'm due for a Royal detox but first, Spare. I debated diving into the pages of Prince Harry's memoir, but so much has been said about this book that I want to actually read it and form my own opinion.

A few thoughts so far:

  • Much of what was leaked to the press has been taken out of context (shocker)

  • Controversial topics aside, the details about his childhood and upbringing in the Royal Family are fascinating.

  • His memories of his "mum" Diana and the details following her death are truly heartbreaking.

  • Who would have guessed Haz is a fan of TJ Maxx?!

  • There’s a lot to unpack when it comes to Camilla. Oye.

  • The book is beautifuly written. Ghost writer J. R. Moehringer did a fabulous job.

Much more to come... Who else is joining me on this Prince Harry journey?!

p.s. For those who prefer audiobooks, I've heard that hearing Harry narrate his own memoir is quite enjoyable.
